Nothing says "proud to be Canadian" like a maple leaf patch on a pair of denim shorts.
With Canada Day just around the corner, this DIY is the perfect way to show off your heritage!

Here's what you'll need to get your DIY on:

-A pair of denim shorts
-Fabric of your choice
-Fabric glue

Step 1:

Draw a maple leaf on the reverse side of your fabric. We printed out a sketch to help us out!

Step 2:

Cut out the maple leaf. (You'll want a good pair of scissors so the fabric doesn't fray!)

Step 3:

Add fabric glue to the back of your maple leaf.

Step 4:

Place the patch on your denim where desired.  We thought the back pocket was super cute!
Let the glue dry for aprx. 1 hour before trying on.

How cute?

We are rockin' out to Bastille's jam "Flaws" from their Bad Blood album.

The rock band's lead singer, Dan Smith, wrote the lyrics to this track and we love the message behind it:
Nobody's perfect, we all have flaws, but it is our imperfections that make us beautiful and unique :)

We originally ran this post on April 22nd, but wanted to run it again in time for Father's Day!

If you're wondering what to get your dad to show him how much you care, why not make him this mini DIY egg crate garden that he can then re-plant in the backyard! Or even better….pick up all the supplies and make it together! Awwww! #FatherDaughterBonding

Here's what you'll need to get your DIY on:

-Seeds of your choice (we chose Oregano, Basil, SweetPea, Candytuft)
-Potting mix
-Carton of eggs
-Watering can
-1 pin
-Sharpie (optional)

Step 1:

Poke a few holes at the bottom of the each egg with a pin.
This will allow any excess water that the plant can't absorb to drip out the bottom of each egg.
This being said, it is a good idea to put something under your egg carton to catch any water droplets!

Step 2:

Time to empty the egg shells! Just tap the top of each egg with a knife. It should break right off, but if it doesn't just pull gently with your fingers!

Keep the yolk and make your dad scrambled eggs for breakfast!

Step 3:

Rinse out any excess yolk from the shells, so they are nice and clean :)

Step 4:

Cut the egg carton accordingly based on how many herbs/flowers you wish to grow.

Step 5 (optional):

To keep track of what you're planting, take a sharpie and mark each eggshell.

Step 6:

Add 1-2 teaspoons of soil to each eggshell.

 Step 7:

Make a little fingerprint in the soil and place the seeds inside. Then add 1 more spoonful of soil on top.

 Step 8:

Now you are ready to water the soil and watch your little seeds come to life!

Watering Tips:

-Use room temperature water
-Do not over-water
(We watered our garden every second day.)
-Keep in direct sunlight

After just 1 week, we started to see some little sprouts!

Here is our garden after two weeks!

Happy Father's Day to all the awesome dad's out there!

We asked our lovely Instagram followers what their #1 summer jam is, and we totally agree that 5 Seconds of Summer (aka 5SOS) is definitely a super rad summer song!
Here is their latest track that we are currently obsessing over called "Don't Stop"

In case you haven't noticed (and if you haven't, shame on you!) Ardene has teamed up with the Heart and Stroke Foundation over the last few months to raise money for a great cause.
We hosted a rad contest on FB (which we hope you entered!), created exclusive MOVE MORE Hair Ties to raise money and awareness about living healthy and being active!
Today….our Head Office geared up in our MOVE Collection and hopped on the Heart and Stroke's BIG BIKE to even further demonstrate our support.

Scroll down to see pics from our day!

Hands up for the cause!

We were all so excited to participate that we managed to fill 2 complete bikes, #WeRock!
