Rather be slouchin on your couch in a onesie? Sounds totally good to us. Instead of dressing up and going out, how about we dress down and stay in...AND WATCH HALLOWEEN MOVIES FOR DAYSSSS!
Staying in is an art. You can't just wing it.  It's a careful calculation of what to wear slash when to put the popcorn in slash do we do hot cocoa or PSL slash do we even have to shower? Debates!

Here's how you make it rain potato on dat couch, LIKE A BOSS:

So. Freakin. Cute.
K, now that we're over our excitation of slipping on a onesie,
we can start selecting a long list of movies that will make up our Halloween movie marathon.

2. Pick your moviesssss. (Yes, plural.)
Here are our top ten faves:

Hocus Pocus
And if we're playing, you can be the blonde one.

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas
More Halloweeny than Christmasy, really.

The Craft
Relax...It's only magic.

Watch this one just for when they break into Day-O (Banana Boat Song).

Addams Family Values
What a classic.

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Let's agree to always agree that all Tim Burton movies are Halloween-worthy.

Double, Double, Toil and Trouble
Yes, yes, the Olsen twins, but Cloris Leachman...what a performance!

Harry Potter series
And all of Harry & Ron's stupid endearing antics.

 #obsessed with ChloĆ« Grace Moretz.

Shaun of the Dead
The most hilarious choice, because sometimes a laugh is better than a scream #scaredy-cat.

3. Put in the popcorn and drizzle pour on that buttah (NEVER have we ever heard of the word diet on Halloween.) You?

4. Make yourself a steaming cup of cocoa/PSL/tea.

5. Baby lock them doors & turn the lights down low.

Guess what's happening Friday... IT'S HALLOWEEN!!! Dressing up is always fun, and so is eating candy (and the ensuing shame of eating too much & belly aches). We've been listening to Halloween music non-stop since mid-September earlier this month, especially this playlist, and we came across some pretty good tunes from our fave guys Panic! At the Disco.
Here's a cool cover of This is Halloween from Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas.

A little eerie, you say? We totes agree. Or, maybe it's their eyeliner. Either way, we <3 it because it reaaaaaally gets us into the Halloween spirit!
What are you dressing up as? Keep scrolling down for deets on a costume contest we're having right meow. We won't judge if you don't have your costume yet. Like, if you're getting it...Friday. We won't judge. We don't have ours yet either no judging here #SoLastMinute #MomIsAnnoyed
Have fun collecting candy!

PUMPKIN CARVING DIY WITH PRINTABLE STENCILS's time to carve that Jack-O-Lantern! Here's how to carve a pumpkin like a pro...
Here's what you'll need:
1. A pumpkin (of any size)
2. A stencil (get your printable Ardene stencils right here or scroll down)
3. A candle OR string lights + mason jar
4. A marker
5. Scissors
6. A scooping tool (a large spoon works)
7. A sharp knife
8. Pumpkin carving saws
9. A pumpkin poker (a skewer works)
10. Large garbage bags
11. A large bowl (for your seeds)
1. Open up your garbage bag and use it as a tablecloth. Place your pumpkin in the center. Pumpkins get messy!
2. Using your marker, trace where you will cut off the top of the pumpkin to gut it.
3. With a sharp knife, slide in the blade and pierce all the way through. Look at that juice!
4. Lift off the top completely.

5. Using your scooping tool, empty out the pumpkin until the flesh is clean. Keep the seeds (for toasting, obvi) and throw out the slimy insides. Yuck!
6. Your pumpkin is ready to carve!
7. If you are going to use string lights in a mason jar instead of a candle, cut out a hole in the back for the plug to come out of.
8. Choose your stencil (scroll down to print cool stencils made just for you!) and cut off excess paper. Position the stencil where you want it on the pumpkin.
9. With your pumpkin poker or skewer, poke around the outlines of the eyes, nose and mouth of the stencil. Make sure to poke through the skin so your dots are visible once you take the stencil off.
10. Take your knife or carving saw and connect the dots! Go through the entire thickness of the skin so the pieces pop right out.
11. For string lights, place them in a mason jar.
12. Poke the hole out of the back, pass the electric cord through and plug it in.
*If you're using a traditional candle, light it first, then place it in the center of the pumpkin!
13. Put the top back on and voila! You've got a really cool Jack-O-Lantern to put out on your porch or to decorate the inside of your house!
You can even print out the stencil a bit smaller for a little pumpkin.

Have fun and be creative!
P.S. Here are 4 cool stencils you can right-click and print! Our graphic artist made them JUST FOR YOU!!! That's love right there.

Have a great Canadian holiday, and remember to please eat some pie.

The pumpkins were carved and the models were prepped
Off we went with our camera, in the alleys we crept.

The air was crisp, the candles burned bright
In the midst of the darkness were the creatures of the night.

While it might be quite spooky, try not to scream
Scroll down little monsters, go behind the scenes.
