Netflix and chills! You bring the Netflix, we bring the chills...for Halloween!

Situation: It's Halloween night, none of your friends are trick-or-treating, there's no party, and there's nothing to do, literally. Right? Wrong, son! As long as you've got Netflix, all is well in the world.

So slip on your most comfortable onesie, put some popcorn in the microwave and make yourself a hot cocoa...cuz it's fright night.

Here are our top 5 Netflix movies to watch on Halloween night:

Witch sisters Sally & Gillian (Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman) dabble in some unsavoury witchcraft to resurrect someone from the dead.

All hell breaks loose when the morbid Addams family gets a visit from long lost Uncle Fester...or is he?

Johnny Depp stars as Ichabod Crane, a police constable investigating murders committed by a mysterious Headless Horseman.

Looking for a classic haunted house movie? The Woman in Black is unleashing her wrath on everyone.

A young girl unleashes a race of malevolent creatures who want to drag her and her family into the bottomless depths of her home.

Now it's literally Netflix and CHILL time.... mouahahaha!

Dressing up for Halloween is fun, but it's always sad to think you may never wear your outfit again. Right? WRONG!

We've got what you need to put together a cat costume with pieces you can wear again.

Here's what you're gonna need to be a cool cat:

5. Black gloves (bonus points for texting digits!)
7. A cat mask
8. Tons of accessories
9. A cat tail

Wear a choker necklace to simulate a collar, and add fun cat accessories like a cat iPhone case to spice up your look!

Meow-za! You look purr-fect.
Have fun, and don't forget to say catnip, snap a pic and #ardenelove!

For some people, Halloween only means scary. That's cuz duh, they haven't met us. Because to us, Halloween means sugar, obvi.

Back in the day, the costume had to be on point yes, but the main event was always how much candy and sweets we collected! A bag full of Reese's was definitely #GOALS.

Making Halloween cupcakes has become somewhat of a tradition around here (because we love eating them). Last year's were spooktacular (check 'em out here) and this year we've made some more that are as wicked!

Here's what you need:

1. Box cake
2. Piping bag & nozzle
3. Semi-sweet chocolate
4. Decorative icing
5. Cream cheese icing
6. Halloween cupcake liners
7. Toppings of your choice
8. Stencils (scroll to the bottom to print!) & squeeze dis ê

Step 1: Follow the instructions for the cake mix on the box.
*Depending on which brand you chose, the ingredients to add might differ!

Step 2: Line your cupcake tray with paper liners and pour the mix in evenly, then bake!

Step 3: While your cupcakes are baking in the oven, prepare your chocolate spooky figures! Melt your semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler, then pour into a squeeze bottle.

Step 4: Place the stencils you printed under some parchment paper to create the shapes you want.

Step 5: Put it in the freezer for 5 minutes and voila! All your shapes are ready.

Step 6: Add the cream cheese topping into a piping bag with nozzle attached and start piping your cooled-down cupcakes.

Step 7: Now it's time to get creative and to DECORATE!!! Use all the toppings you want to make your cupcakes a Halloween success.

Happy baking!

We're in full Halloween mode! Lately, we've been musically obsessed with wicked tunes. Which artist do you think has made the creepiest music video ever?

Here are our top 5 picks!

1. Obviously, we'll start with the king of creepy music videos: Thriller (1982) by Michael Jackson.

2. Next up, we've got goosebumps from watching What's a Girl to Do (2006) by Bat For Lashes.

3. Are you afraid of monkeys? Watch Everything You Do Is a Balloon (1996) by Boards of Canada to get the shudders.

4. Sometimes smiling wide-eyed is just plain creepy! Check out Black Hole Sun (1994) by Soundgarden.

5. And finally, here is the eerie video There, There (2003) by Radiohead.

Comment below and let us know what videos you think should have made the cut.

And as always, Happy Musical Monday

There's no easy way to say this but...we've pretty much created the easiest Halloween costumes to wear, like, ever.

Wanna dress up as a chicken? You got it. How about a shark? No problem. And what if you really wanna be a Good Luck Troll? This way, please.

Our onesies are literally the best thing ever since one-piece PJs made a comeback. And since Halloween night is always a tad chilly here in Canada (ok, so it's pretty much always freezing...) wearing fleece zip-up pyjamas around to party is heaven. Plus, if you and all your besties go in onesies, you guys are #squadgoals and super hilarious.

Take a look at some of our current faves down below!
Leave a comment below telling us which one you would get, and if you already own one, send us a pic! We'd love to see which one you got. Don't forget to #ardenelove on Insta!

And if you don't have one already, what are you doing with your life!!! #getoneasap

Check 'em out online and in stores before they're gone *gasp*

But we love being crafty most of all. So...why not craft our own witch costume?

Here's what you'll need (and you probably have most of these in your closet already!)

1. A black shirt (make it witchy!)
-anything lace, velvet, or Victorian will work

2. A broom ( else are you gonna get places?!)

-Lace up knee-highs are best for this type of look!

5. A pointy hat (you can DIY it or buy one)

-Suspenders, jewelry & even a bag will bring everything together!

Bonus points: throw on a leather jacket or a faux fur jacket to keep you warm (perfect excuse to buy that one you've been eyeing!)

Have fun putting together this look! Be sure to share it with us on Insta using #ardenelove

So Thanksgiving is coming and we are all wondering what to wear for Thanksgiving dinner... Even if we are all thankful for so many things this year, let's just NOT take our style for granted and put a little thinking behind it.

To help you pick your perfect outfit, we've put together 3 styles that would fit 3 completely different personalities!

Are you more edgy, romantic or "à la garçonne"? Here are 3 perfect styles for your turkey dinner:
  1. The edgy classic: Add high knee socks and choker necklaces to this shift dress and your look will be all but ordinary. Brownie points for the baby bun.
  2. The à la garçonne: If you're not a dress type of girl... It's all good! Go for a blouse with simple jeans! Button it all the way up, and you'll be Grandma's fave grandchild again.
  3. The romantic hippie: Style this black floral dress with some combat boots and voilà, you'll be the cutest girl at dinner without a doubt. You'll even be cute while you're stuffing your face...with stuffing.

Shop the styles here

Happy Thanksgiving festivities

White magic is magic used for good purposes only... and what better purpose than to use white magic to get a date with your crush?! October is the perfect month to let the universe bring bae to you. So get your witchy side ready!

Here are a few things you need to know before practicing white magic:

  1. Spells must be done with care.
  2. You must always clear your mind before practicing white magic.
  3. If you rush a spell = it won't work.

Now that you are ready and clear-headed, here's what you need:

  1. White Candles (a single candle will do)
  2. Rosemary (Fresh Rosemary works best but if you only have dried it's ok)
  3. A spoon or cone to blow out the candle
  4. The incantation: a series of words said out loud for a magic spell or charm

But...where are the rose petals? It's a love spell after all, right?
NO! NO! NO! We're talking real magic here!

The ritual
*Find a quiet place and don't rush in getting ready.*
*Take some time to concentrate on your crush's qualities.*
*Light up the candle(s).*

*Visualize your crush*
*Sprinkle the rosemary on your candle and say the incantation*

"These are the things that I like about you, I ask the universe above; send me my one and only love."

While you say this you need to maintain concentration. Repeat it until you lose all concentration. When you are done, blow out the candle by using a cone or a metal spoon. It's more effective than to just blow on the candle.

Now let the Magic do its thing! And remember, MAGIC is also believing in yourself, so if you can do this spell... You can make anything happen!

Happy October everyone!

** This spell also allows you to go back in time and listen to this week's MUSIC MONDAY song I put a spell on you

It's that time of year again friends! If you're a die-hard Halloween fan, you for sure already know the song "I Put a Spell on You" from the cult classic 90's movie Hocus Pocus. What you may not have known  (and why we're here!) is that there's  a modern indie version of the song by She & Him which is equally as enchanting!

For those of you who've never heard of the movie uh-hello we even talked about it on the blog last year it takes place in the witchy town of Salem, Massachusetts (where the famous witch trials took place in 1692) and stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson Sisters-and you need to watch it like yesterday.  But for now, you can just turn up your speakers and enjoy Zooey Deschanel's amazing voice!

Have a listen to the original and tell us in the comments which one is your fave!

If you don't follow us on Spotify already, we will put a spell on you until you do. Click right here to follow us.

Happy witchy music Monday xo
