Today marks the end of a long-weekend that's left us with memories to spare. Set in probably the most beautiful place we've ever seen (the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Washington), the Sasquatch Festival was not only an awesome display of musical talent, but it was a collection of the chillest people around.

Nobody was pretentious. Everyone was there to enjoy the music and kick back.

Ok, so it was a little windy and the main stage closed for a whole afternoon on Sunday, but that didn't stop the likes of Leon Bridges from performing a sick acoustic set on the lawn.

And it certainly didn't stop Alabama Shakes from killing it with that seriously powerhouse voice.

The energy was electric during Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats - especially when John C Riley danced on stage. And M83, Lord Huron, and the Cure were unreal.

The camp grounds were just as fun as inside the fest, and the vibe was laid back. What better excuse to rock a Canadian Tuxedo with little bit of plaid (head to toe denim, anyone)?

We survived (thrived) on cheeseburger dumplings, lemonade, and plenty of bottled water.

Check out the highlights.

Fast food vs. your healthy lifestyle… it feels like a battle you just can’t win. The struggle is real.

Today is international hamburger day, and we’ve been panicking all week about how to get through it with our good eating habits intact.

Because the truth is: there’s nothing better than biting into a juicy burger, cooked to perfection and sandwiched in a big brioche bun, slathered with cheese, pickles and spicy mayo…

So, how does one survive International Hamburger Day?

Read on, food lovers.

Make It Yourself
Do some home-cooking. You’ll know exactly what goes into your meal.

Go Bun Free
Eat your burger like a carnivorous rabbit. Over lettuce, sans bun.

Swap for Veg Options
Choose veggie options. Tofu, portobello, or even lean meat like ground turkey will reduce your fat intake.

Cut the Extras
Ditch the side of fries and make friends with salad.

Make It a Cheat Day
Give yourself a day pass. This is a love affair you just can’t quit.

Happy eating!

It's the season for music fests, and many of us are off to the next one: Sasquatch Festival, at the Gorge Amphitheater in Quincy, Washington.

Escaping the city is always a good time, especially when you're sharing the experience with friends. Deciding where you'll stay - and what to pack - can be tricky though. Particularly in the mountains, where the weather can be a little... unpredictable.

Luckily, there are lots of options for group accommodations around the Gorge, and we've made you a list of rain or shine ready outfits. So whether you're camping, glamping, or renting a cottage, you're covered.

You'll be spending your nights in personal tents or RVs , and depending on your camping situation on the grounds, you'll have access to private restrooms and shower areas. You're still roughing it though, so think rain boots for unexpected weather and long sleeves when it gets chilly at night.

Glamping is camping with a touch of glamour. For those of you who snagged one of these pre-furnished cottage-style tents, you'll be living in a pretty swanky set up. You'll especially have room for creativity where outfits are concerned. Shortalls and a cute pair of closed toe booties are where it's at.

Cottage Rental:

This is really living the high life. If you and the gang air bnb'ed a cottage, it'll be the music festival equivalent of spending the weekend at a lake house - regardless of the weather. Pack a few options for hanging out at night and daytime chilling - but don't forget to wear closed toe shoes when you head out to see your fave band.

Get ready for a weekend of good vibes, mountain air, and breathtaking scenery.

Check back for our festival recap, coming soon!

Giving back to the community is a huge part of the Ardene culture and the driving force behind Ardene Foundation. (read more about that here)

As soon as we heard about the terrifying wildfires in our fellow Canadians' hometown of Fort McMurray, we got moving fast on ways to help out.

The initial plan was to make a pledge to the Red Cross, but we decided to take it even further. We started a $1 donation campaign in stores, and in less than 1 month, we raised over $62,000 thanks to our amazing customers.

We know that no amount of charity can replace the things that the residents of Fort McMurray lost in the fires, but we really wanted to help toward rebuilding people’s lives.

In addition, residents of the affected areas can take advantage of a 20% off discount at any Ardene store in Alberta or B.C., and we’re also planning to give away free merchandise once the city reopens. Until then, our store staff members are also being assisted financially.

It just goes to show that we’re stronger together. Thank you to everyone who donated. If you want to donate to the Red Cross Canada, head here.

Bieber. Slaying as always with his major celeb status and good looks. Tbh, what impresses us the most about Biebs isn’t his new face tattoo or his clashes with the paparazzi – it’s his newest album, Purpose.

He’s currently doing a Canadian Purpose tour right now and we’re kinda freaking out.

If you haven’t heard the latest album (where have you been?!), have a listen here.

If you still haven’t heard Justin Timberlake’s new single, Can’t Stop the Feeling, it’s time to throw on your headphones. Or better yet, crank those speakers up real loud.

It’s already one of our faves, and you’ll undoubtedly be dancing to it all summer long. We know we will.

JT has literally been serenading us since his boy band days (N’Sync, anyone?). We’ve cried rivers with him, had summer love, and learned that what goes around comes around. He even brought sexy back.

And now this. We’re totally celebrating.

We can’t stop the feeling either, Justin.

And neither can Anna Kendrick.

Bye, Bye, Bye.

We love a good DIY. Plus, there’s nothing better than a fun giftable project from the heart.
Fine, maybe that sounds cheesy… But it’s Mother’s Day after all, and she totally deserves it.

Go on, show her what a good job she did raising you. You’ll have fun doing it, we promise!

Makes approx. 6

17 oz. baking soda
8.5 oz. corn starch
8 oz. citric acid
Lavender essential oil
Purple food colouring
10-12 tsp. water
Dry lavender flowers

Round cavity molds
1 large mixing bowl
Measuring cups
Whisk for stirring
Optional: Coconut oil

1 – Gather your supplies.

2 – Mix baking soda, corn starch, and citric acid in a large bowl until well incorporated.

3 – Add about 60 drops of essential oil, mixing the whole time.

4 – Add about 70-80 drops of food colouring (depending on how dark you want the bombs to be), mixing the whole time.

5 – Slowly add 10-12 teaspoons of water, one teaspoon at a time. Mix well between each addition.
·  When you add water, your food colouring will start to get darker
·  Add water until you have the consistency of wet sand
·  Don’t add too much water, or your mixture will expand

6 – Sprinkle lavender flowers into each half of your mold. Then, pack your molds tightly one side at a time, and overfill them slightly.

7 – Press the two halves together and squeeze tightly. Twist to remove excess on the seams.

8 – Gently remove one mold half at a time. You can remove them from the mold almost immediately.

9 – Repeat until all your mixture is used up!

10 – Print our awesome Mother’s Day Tags and personalize your gift.

Note: Allow 24 hours for the bath bombs to harden before using them.

(ps. if you're not the DIY type, pre-made bath bomb kits exist out there.)

Happiest Mother’s Day to all the bomb moms out there!

8 oz acide citrique
essence de lavande
colorant violet
10 à 12 c. à thé d'eau
lavande sèche

Outils :
moules ronds
1 grand bol
tasses à mesurer
cuillère à thé
fouet pour brasser
optionnel : huile de noix de coco

Étapes :

1 – Rassemble tous tes outils.

·  Si tu rajoutes trop d'eau, ton mélange va trop grossir
